Stylistic figure of repetition, which consists in the literal, word-for-word reproduction of the same linguistic element (word, phrase, or syntactic construction) within an utterance. It should be distinguished from tautology, which is considered a language flaw, whereas exact repetition is a deliberate artistic device used to enhance expressiveness, emotionality, and rhythm in a text.
